Rollin With The Punches

I must say Spring is really taking it's time getting here. It's been so chilly I (ms. hot flash) have had to turn my heat on a couple of times in April and even wore gloves in May! I've only just started to weed and prune the yard I work in. This is Wisconsin so all you can do is "Roll With The Punches." Mother Nature is amazing! She has made sure, despite the chilly temps, that the Tulips & Daffodils bloom and I love seeing all the bright colors bursting out of the ground when I am walking my poochie.
Speaking of my poochie, she has had her "Spa Day," but I've had to reschedule mine because I have not hit my mark yet. I am stuck at a 12 pound weight loss and working hard to get to that 15 pound mark. Yes, I know I work at a gym and blah, blah, blah. I should know how to work through this plateau. I know muscle weighs more than fat and all that jazz. I am not discouraged people, I am on it and I am just gonna keep "Rollin With The Punches!"

I also just received the "bad news" that something I was truly looking forward too is not going to take place. I am terribly disappointed, but again, I am "Rollin With The Punches." This "Punch" however was a "Knockout Punch" and left me a little weak in knees. I was so looking forward to this. I am recovering from the blow and realize you gotta be able to take a hit once in a while. You can't make something your everything. Everything doesn't revolve around just one thing.
Another blow-what in the world- is going on with the Lakers? My Boys are down 3/zip! to the Mavs. I am holding out hope. I remember the Huston Rockets came back to win 4 straight when everyone had given up on them. And if the Lakers don't rally back, "Oh Well" you can't win them all. Secretly I am hoping for a come back!!!!!!!
The good news is-is that I am still extremely excited about the "Collage's being on display, that is the month of July at the Washington Park Library. I'm equally excited about the African American Art, History & Culture Workshops, also in July! Maybe it'll be warm by then, LOL. I guess at forty-something, "Rollin With The Punches" is the best I can do for now!
I'd also like to give a shout out to my boy "Mr. President Barack Obama" and all the military personnel who helped capture and dispose of Osama Bin Laden- Stay Alert people!

P.S. "Happy Mother Day" to all the mothers and to all who mother!
