2010 Vote!

People!!!!! What in the World are you thinking????? Yes, I am on my "High Horse" yet again!!! I hate to come across as pushy & bossy, but I'm "Forty-Something" and I need every single one of you to get out there and do your part! If you voted for Obama in 2008 and want to see change, you can't just sit back and wait, you have to do something. The GOP is banking on democrats to be complacent and frustrated and think that your vote doesn't matter. You have to work for Change. Change doesn't happen over night! Don't be impatient people. Do the work that is required of us. If you wanted to pay off $20,000 in debt, would that happen over night? No, it would take a while.



Now that I've finished my seasonal job, I am hitting the ground for the 2010 GET OUT AND VOTE! For the next four weekends I will be doing door to door literature drops and making phone calls. If anyone else would like to take part please call the campaign office at 414.464.7065 or stop by the office at 7980 West Appleton Ave. You can volunteer or pick up yard signs. If you can't volunteer you can still help by making sure you get to the polls on November 2nd and vote democratic!!!! I've heard some of the most ridiculous reasons for not being active and people let me be clear! By not doing something, by not voting on 11/2 you are giving the GOP the power to halt all the hard work President Obama has done.

Ironically, I just purchased John Legend & The Roots new CD "Wake Up" (which is a cover of the 1960's & 70's social message music) because I love John Legend I always buy the Deluxe version because it includes a DVD of the making of the CD; so I was watching the DVD and during the interview with John Legend he said he was inspired to do this album because of Barack Obama. All I'm trying to say is that no, we all can't go into the studio and make an album, but we can be "foot soldiers" and go door to door or make a few phone calls and we most definitely can get to the polls on 11/2 and vote!!!! Okay I'm done.
