The Art of the Struggle!

The season has officially changed and the leaves are hitting the ground like snow! It's dark at 5 p.m. and I've had to flip the switch on the heat a few times.
I'm still pushing the Blk-Art, History & Culture Workshops. I am very excited about it and doing my best to stay positive knowing that it will all fall into place!
The Wynton Marsalis show was fantastic and I've got tickets to the Savion Glover "Bare Soundz" show, absolutely love it! Enjoying the gig at the Gallery and the tickets to these performances. At this point all the little extras are keeping me going. It's a struggle right now so staying focused on all of my blessings and staying in the moment is my job for the time being. The Art of the Struggle. My seasonal gig is over and the gym is under new management-my core class has been eliminated, but I am still getting my workouts in -they too keep me going.
I am still collecting "Obama" memorabilia. You should see some of the fantastic stuff people continue to give me. I absolutely LOVE it! Yes, I know it will be a struggle to get him re-elected so it is absolutely imperative that we all do our part. I don't just mean hitting the poles to vote. I'm talking about hitting the streets people-foot soldiers. With all the foolishness going on, please don't be bamboozled! It's The Art of the Struggle!
I am looking forward to doing the Black History Month installation at the Washington Park Library in February and I hope you like my new business card. Yes, that's my favorite piece of Shona Sculpture. What better way to appreciate it! So okay, let's be thankful for all our blessings and no matter what's going on in your life- the ups & the downs, the good & the bad, if you stay focused and grateful you'll be alright, I promise.
