First and foremost-enough Winter already!!!!!! And Hello Spring!!!!! Only 2 more weeks and it is officially Spring! On my walk with the poochie this morning, believe it or not, I did see buds on a flowering tree just waiting to bloom. Yes, in the mist of the snow. I love how it stays lighter longer and the temps are climbing.
A lot of good things are happening and I am so appreciative. Kind of feels like "thawing out" I've been working hard to stick to my guns and have lost 11 pounds! I broke the cheese spell after 62 days, and went with a fine grated Asiago cheese. Sprinkling a little bit on my Turkey burgers, in my scrambled egg & veggie wraps and my salads, YUM!!!! Doing very well with regard to Chocolate, but the one thing this "Forty-something" body has noticed this winter is how much my joints ache! My left knee and my right elbow are very achy and the other day during work out #4 of the week, I swear my knee asked me "how much more of this do I have to endure?" luckily I only had about 20 minutes left to go. I have noticed that sticking with my weight lifting routine has really helped tone my upper body. I am going to be paying attention to how my body feels as the seasons change. Really hoping it's the cold and not age! LOL!
I attended the first 4 and half hour meeting for my Seasonal job and will be back there in less than a month. I also attended another meeting in regard to one of my passions and have a 3 week summer workshop where I get to SHARE and indulge in African American Art, History and Culture. This is an amazing blessing and a dream come true. The Core Class is going very, very well and I absolutely love leading this class. It's been over a year since I took over this class and never thought it would still be going this strong. It's another blessing, being able to do what you love is a blessing! I am truly blessed! I am however, sorry to say that I haven't had the time or energy to make the kind of progress on the "Obama" collage I was hoping for, but still at it and every little bit of progress is progress. I love working on it when I get the chance. Today I am doing a little "Spring Cleaning" while I listen to my Ipod on the docking station-love it. I love listening to all of my favorite music just play and play and play while I handle my business and yes I do have the NBA on in the background-Miami up over Chicago in the 2nd quarter. I'm waiting for the Laker game. I'll be front and center for that!
So all-n-all life is good and not much to complain about, just one little area that needs some tending to-"You hear me boo? Show me!" You make me smile.
So everyone, count your blessings and be thankful for what you do have. Work hard and be patient. Be kind to others and yourself. A little self indulgence is a good thing if the timing is right!
