So here we are a couple of weeks later and my goodness it's cold!!!! It's either to cold or to hot. Yes, I've had to turn the heat on a few times and each time it gets sooooooooo freaking hot I can't stand it!!!!! I'm turning on the fans, standing in the hallway, out on the porch or completely tearing my clothes off. On Thanksgiving a friend of mine stopped over and after a short visit she said "girl it's freezing in here" I was sitting there in my lounge wear with no socks fanning myself. Another friend left a note with an advertisement for a product call "Icool" in my mailbox. LOL. All I can say "is Lord when are these freaking "Hot Flashes" going to stop! It's been at least 5 years now.
I hope everyone had a wonderful "Thanksgiving Holiday." It's after Thanksgiving so I can officially start decorating for Christmas! I absolutely love decorating my tree, which I am heading out to get tomorrow after I hit the gym. YEAH! The planning for the "Holiday Cheer" is coming along and the Obama collage is moving slow but steady. Speaking of Obama, what's up with Rey Decerega who elbowed my boy in the mouth during a basketball game on Friday at Fort McNair? I am sure it was an accident, but my boy had to get 12 stitches! Be careful!!!!!
The other passion that I've been trying to work out is really taking shape and I am so pleased. Should this pan out, it would be hard for me to ask for any thing more.
I've also taken the plunge and colored my hair! Yes people I did. Yesterday afternoon. I just woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and couldn't take it anymore. It's going to take some getting use to. It's been 9 or 10 years since I've covered the gray. I don't feel old and was sick of looking older than I feel. Don't think for one minute I'll forget "I'm forty-something!" I didn't color my hair for anyone but me, let's get that straight-it was "Time For A Change."
My Poochie is going to be 15 years old. She's Chow Chow/ German Shepard mix and one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever laid eyes on and I am so grateful I'm allowed to be her owner. "Happy Birthday" Boo. I finally opened this bottle of Sake I was given as a gift in her honor and really enjoyed it, Thanks Ru! One more indulgence is this new Television series "Detroit 187" I am not a big TV person unless it's the NBA, but this show I like, it's like "NYPD Blue" which I also liked. I also went to see "For Colored Girls" and must say that each and every single one of the ladies held their own, a fantastic job ladies!
Don't forget to think of the less fortunate as your out and about shopping for the holiday. Please put something in the "FOOD BARRELS" as you exit the grocery stores & check on your elderly neighbors.
