Hey all you forty somethings! I am really starting to understand the "aging" process.
Two things took place recently along with some already existing things that kinda knocked me on the head and said "hello, you're aging. It's happening to you too"
The first thing was- I was thinking "oh these bras aren't giving me the support they use too." so I go and get professionally sized. "You've got to be kidding me" One whole bra size and one whole cup size bigger! When did this happen? Please measure me again, this can not be right. Second measuring, "Yes mam, it's right" (did she just call me mam)? She did. So now we're looking for bras and the woman is going one way and I am going another. She says "the kind of bras you need are in this section" I look to the section and all I see are all these "Old Lady Bras" "Oh no, no, no. I'm looking for something more on the line of what I was wearing when I came in." "I'm sorry mam. The slinky, lacy bras you're use to aren't going to give you the support you need." Good Lord, has it come to this? So I leave with ONE old lady bra determined to shop around for something a little more appealing-okay!
Then a few days later is my eye appointment. I've been having trouble reading some of the smaller print. In the end the eye doctor tells me I am going to need reading glasses in the t250 strenght. Good Lord, when did this happen????? Later on that night I am thinking. My head is spinning. It's bad enough I had early menopause (43) and the "hot flashes" drive me crazy! (Yes I am taking something for them). Then my hair has been gray since I was in my twenty's (I refuse to dye it), now the "old Lady Bras" and the "old Lady reading glasses" no wonder the woman called me "MAM" All I can do is laugh!!!!!
If any of you know where I can buy some cute supportive bras and some stylish old lady reading glasses-give me a shout out! Please! Good Lord I'm forty something!
