Discipline!

Good news! I was very disciplined during my 31 days in January and continue to be. I'm going to keep it going through February. I have not had any Cheese (which I eat like it's fat free), or any Mayo, I've been working out 4 times a week and lifting the weights. The Ab/Core Class is going very well! I've lost 6 pounds and 2 inches off my waist!!!! That's the easy part, the hard part is maintaining it and turning that 6 pounds into 12 pounds.
With "Valentines Days" around the corner I must be mindful of the Chocolate which I've been very disciplined about. Only having it once a week. I'm starting to get the hang of this being "Forty-Something." It's about time, "Fifty" is just around the corner. Well actually "fifty" is down the block and around the corner. I am hoping by then I'll have this down PAC and the "Hot Flashes" will seek another victim! LOL! I tried the "I-Cool" hot flash supplement, but it didn't make very much difference so I've decided to go "All Natural" and just let my body do what it has to do!!!!
The kindness did continue, but the streak was broken. I received 2 belated Christmas gifts sometime in early January and have received 1 Valentine card already. I appreciate all the kindness that comes my way, especially with all the turmoil going on in the World. It makes me aware of all my blessings even when things are hard. The Economic Crisis has hit me too and things are tough, but by the grace of God and a wonderful support system I'm still standing and so appreciative!!!! One of my goals for 2011 is to PAY DOWN some of this DEBT!!!!! I'm getting the hang of this too.
The "Obama" collage is moving slowly, but is coming along. I am not so savvy with technology so I am trying to figure out how to upload a photo of the collage to share. Hopefully by the next post I'll have an image to share. Back to the Kindness of others. Here in Wisconsin we had 2 feet of snow in about 36 hours. There was so much snow I couldn't even get out my front door! My poor poochie had to wait until I was able to shovel out a path. Well Thank God my neighbor came along with his snow blower-so after walking the poochie, myself and the rest of the neighbors all helped each other shovel out their cars and walk ways and our elderly neighbors.

The one treat I allowed myself during my 31 day sabbatical was a copy of the DVD "Skin" This was a film from 2009 I saw during the film festival and was just released in the US on 2/2/2011.
